JOHN W. THIEL
Managing Director and Head of the Private Banking and Investment Group
As Managing Director and Head of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch, John Thiel is responsible for leading the firm's ultra-affluent client service strategy. Prior to assuming his current position, John was the Regional Managing Director responsible for the Pacific West Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group, headquartered in San Francisco.
John began his career with Merrill Lynch in 1989 as a Financial Advisor in Tampa, Florida. He was selected to become part of the Global Private Client Advisory Division leadership team in 1995. John served as the Regional Director in both Oakbrook and Northbrook, Illinois, before joining the Private Banking and Investment Group in 2000.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1985. John and his wife, Karen, live in Chatham, New Jersey, with their three children.
Riley Etheridge
Regional Managing Director for the Metropolitan and Mid-Atlantic Regions of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch
Riley Etheridge is the Regional Managing Director for the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch based in New York City.  He began his career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  During his 24 years in the industry, he has developed a passion for advancing the professionalism of the financial services industry, and has earned several professional designations, including Certified Financial Planner®, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).  Riley has been published in the Journal of Financial Planning and, in 1999, Worth Magazine named him one of America’s top 250 Financial Advisors.  Riley is actively involved in several non-profit organizations, serving as President of the Board of Directors for 1% for the Planet, and as past President and advising Board Member to Big City Mountaineers.
ERIC A. SCHIMPF
Regional Managing Director for the Southeast Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch
Eric Schimpf is the Regional Managing Director responsible for the Southeast Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to assuming his current position, Eric held leadership positions across the firm, serving in various cities, including Boston, Massachusetts, the Silicon Valley in California and most recently as Director of the Tennessee Valley Complex.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eric is involved in a number of community organizations and serves on the boards of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera and The Bright School.

Eric is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served as an officer and Ranger in the U.S. Army for four years. Eric enjoys golf and fishing and resides in Atlanta with his wife Dina and three children, Ryan, Emma and Cory.
MARK K. CASEY
Regional Managing Director for the Texas Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch
Mark Casey is the Director responsible for the Texas Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group, located in Dallas, Texas. Before assuming his current position, Mark was a Regional Director in Merrill Lynch's Global Private Client Advisory Division based in Sarasota, Florida.
Mark began his career with Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor in 1990. He accepted a leadership position with Prudential Securities serving as a Resident Vice President for four years before rejoining Merrill Lynch in 2001 as the District Sales Manager for the Texas Region.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor, Mark owned his own sales and marketing firm and held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a real estate development company in Newport, Rhode Island.
Mark attended the University of Miami and received his degree from Rhode Island College in 1981.
KIMBERLY PALMER

Regional Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch

Kimberly Palmer currently serves as the Regional Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch overseeing private wealth advisors in six branch offices.

Kimberly’s 17-year career with Merrill Lynch has included a diverse and challenging set of positions with increasing exposure and responsibilities including Regional Managing Director for South Florida, Managing Director and Market Executive for Global Private Client in Europe, Director of the Asian U. S. Complex, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Asia Pacific, and Resident Director for the Paris office of Global Private Client.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Kimberly worked for ten years in the International Private Client Division at Citibank, focusing on Latin American clients, and three years with the Manufacturers Hanover Bank Trust Co’s corporate lending division, where she served corporate clients in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.

Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Sweet Briar College in Virginia and a Masters in Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.  She is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese.  Kimberly currently makes her home in downtown San Francisco with her husband John. 

PAUL T. LAMBERT
Regional Director for the Mid-America Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch
Paul Lambert is the Regional Director responsible for the Mid-America Private Banking and Investment Group, headquartered in Chicago, IL. He oversees private wealth advisors located in 13 offices spanning six midwestern states.
Prior to his new role, Paul served as Director of the Merrill Lynch New York Capital Complex based in Albany, N.Y. where he led the firm’s wealth management efforts in eastern New York state and western Massachusetts. During Paul’s tenure in Albany, Merrill Lynch received special recognition as one of the Capital Region Business Review’s “Best Places to Work” in 2005 and 2006 as well as the 2007 Capital Region Human Resources Association “Spectrum Award” for promoting diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace. 
Paul joined Merrill Lynch in 1992 as a Financial Advisor in the Rochester, NY office. He also held various leadership and coaching roles, eventually assuming the position of Associate Director for the New York City Metropolitan Region in 2001. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science/Finance from SUNY Geneseo as well as the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation conferred by the Investment Management Consultants Association.
He and his wife Lisa recently relocated to the Chicago area with their three children, Alex, Andrew, and Paige. An active community leader, Paul has served on the Board of Directors of Albany Medical Center, as Committee member for Albany Medical College, Teacher for Boy Scouts Explorers, and Honorary Chair for the 2007 Cystic Fibrosis Capital Region fundraising event.
MICHAEL A. ROGERS
Regional Director for the Southern California Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch
Michael Rogers is the Regional Director responsible for the Southern California Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group, headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Before joining Private Banking and Investment Group in mid-2007, he managed the Southern California region for Morgan Stanley. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Michael was Sales Director for the Southern California Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group for seven years.
For the 12 years preceding his role as Sales Director, Michael served as a private banker domestically with JPMorganChase in New York and Los Angeles and internationally covering Latin America with Bank of America.
A native of California, Michael is involved in a variety of activities centered on promoting education in his community. He serves on the Board of Governors for Palisades Charter High School, the board of the Friends of the USC Libraries at the University of Southern California and is active with the USC School of Music.
Michael holds an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He resides in Pacific Palisades, California with his wife and three children.
GREGORY M. MCGAULEY
Regional Managing Director for the Northeast Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch
Gregory McGauley is currently the Regional Managing Director for the Northeast Region, with responsibility for the Private Banking and Investment Group. This region, headquartered in Boston, encompasses New England and Upstate New York. Having grown up in Boston, he has spent his entire career in the Northeast.
Greg joined Merrill Lynch in 1994 as a Financial Advisor in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Prior to entering management in 2002, he was selected to assist in the professional development of new Financial Advisors in Merrill Lynch's national training programs. Greg's first leadership role was as Associate Director in Short Hills, New Jersey. He was then named Director of the Rockefeller Center office in New York City, which was named one of the top performing offices at the firm during his tenure there. More recently he served as Director of the World Financial Center complex, also in New York City.
A graduate of Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance, Greg holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He was an accountant with Coopers and Lybrand before joining Merrill Lynch.
Greg and his family reside in Downtown Boston. He is an avid runner having completed four Boston Marathons.
