PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

The GJL Group is a financial advisor team at Merrill Lynch that adheres to a disciplined investment philosophy. They take the time to fully understand each client’s unique situation. Using this knowledge, they help their clients to set achievable goals and recommend investment solutions for them that can accomplish those goals. They use the wealth and breadth of tools that only Merrill Lynch can deliver to develop and implement customized investment strategies for their clients. They utilize a process that incorporates regular reviews to help ensure clients stay on track to achieving their goals and they keep their investment strategies current through any changes that may occur over a client’s lifetime.

They joined Merrill Lynch this year, but they have over 20 years experience successfully satisfying their clients.


Jim has lived in Colorado 35 years and been in the Grand Valley for the last 15 of them. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He earned the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation through the College of Financial Planning. He enjoys many activities including horseback riding with his wife Robin and their daughter Brittany who attends Mesa State University.


Ken is a Grand Junction native where he now lives with his wife Kelly and their son Tyler. He graduated from Mesa State College with a Bachelor of Arts in History where he was on the baseball team. He was a teacher at Central High before becoming a financial advisor. He earned the Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM (AAMS®) designation through the College of Financial Planning.


Julie is a native of Western Colorado and has lived in Grand Junction for 19 years. She is a graduate of Mesa State College earning a Bachelors degree in business management. She earned the Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM (AAMS®) designation through the College of Financial Planning. She has two daughters Kaylee & Emilee.
