Sanford Wheeler is a Financial Advisor who joined the Merrill Lynch Indian Wells office in 2001. He is a former senior executive in both the private and public sectors.

He completed his graduate studies while living in Australia. Sanford has an advisory practice with focus. He specializes in professional asset management, and retirement and creating wealth management strategies for affluent families, nonprofit corporations and business owners.

After a very successful professional Australian Football career with the Sydney Swans for over 10 years and enjoying success in the corporate arena, Sanford realizes the true meaning of teamwork. Not only from the importance of having a good platform to work from, he also believes in the benefits of wealth management and understands that discipline and dedication are required to reach your goal.

Tom Brooks is a Senior Financial Advisor in the Indian Wells, California office. Since joining Merrill Lynch in 1994 Tom has focused on providing personable and professional relationships with high net worth Private and Business Clients. Tom hailed originally from Portland, Oregon where he completed his formal education. After moving to Southern California it was just a matter of time for the allure of the Coachella Valley to work its magic and convert him to a full time Valley resident in 1992.

A unique personal approach sets Tom apart as a financial professional. Putting an investment package together that is specific to the individual is Toms' business standard.

An avid outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast, Tom makes his home in Cathedral City with his lovely wife Renee, enjoying the outdoor lifestyle only available in this beautiful valley.


Jesse Thurber
Financial Advisor

Jesse is new to the financial services industry and brings fresh ideas and youthful energy to our team of Advisors with over 40 years combined experience. Together they work regularly with clients to create custom investment plans that are individually tailored to fit their financial needs and help them achieve their life goals.

Originally from Reno, NV, he is a recent graduate of Chapman University and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance. He is a new addition to the Coachella Valley and currently resides in Palm Desert.


Lanay Corbeil
Registered Client Associate

Lanay has been with Merrill Lynch since 2006 and is a registered client associate. Born and raised in San Mateo California, Lanay moved to Palm Desert in 1979 to begin a family. After raising two sons Lanay joined the financial services industry in 1993 where she was a Senior Registered sales associate. She is in charge of servicing client accounts and maintaining client relationships with our team.
Lanay is registered with her Series 7 and 63 licenses.
