Edward J. Aho, AAMS®, CRPC®
Financial Advisor
Edward is a Financial Advisor in Global Wealth Management. He specializes in retirement income solutions and wealth transfer strategies for individuals who are either retired or within 10 years of retirement. He also focuses on helping business owners and professionals with retirement plans and succession planning.
Ed has been in the financial services industry since 2004 when he started work as a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones in Spring Lake, MI. Later, he also assumed the role of Field Trainer where he helped to train new Financial Advisors. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2009.
Ed advises clients on wealth accumulation, preservation and transfer through the creation of individually customized wealth management strategies utilizing a defined process. This process includes portfolio development, risk management, tax minimization, and asset protection with a specific emphasis on helping to assure a lifetime retirement income stream.
Ed is one of the few professionals that still make house calls. Many times he has helped plan families’ financial futures while sitting across from them at their dining room table. He works closely with his clients’ other trusted advisors including attorneys and accountants to address his clients’ tax, trust, philanthropic and estate issues – including wealth transfer strategies – to truly be an “essential partner”.
Ed holds the designations of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®). He lives in Spring Lake, MI with his wife, Michelle and son, Brandon. Ed and Michelle celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in 2010.
Constance Malburg, Ed’s assistant is a Senior Registered Client Associate who has been in the financial services industry since 1979. She has been with Merrill Lynch since 2000. Connie shares Ed’s commitment to excellent client service and is an extremely valuable resource for client’s administrative needs. She lives in the White Lake area.
